Ars Nova Napoli reinterpret traditional songs from Southern Italy alongside original compositions, creating a distinctive musical experience that brings together the rich diversity of Mediterranean melodies and musical traditions. Their sound combines powerful vocals, intricate harmonies and vibrant instrumental arrangements, blending folk influences with an infectious rhythm and an energetic stage presence.
Featuring six talented musicians on vocals, accordion, mandolin, charango, violin, trumpet, frame drums, guitar and double bass, the ensemble transforms every performance into a celebration of music, culture and community. Through their contemporary approach to traditional music, Ars Nova Napoli preserve its enduring role as a means of bringing people together, transcending generations and cultural boundaries.
Since 2025, the band has been undertaking an international tour supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, promoting Neapolitan music to audiences around the world.
The Australian tour, which includes stops in Melbourne, Brisbane, Bellingen and Sydney, was organized and funded by the Neapolis 2500 National Committee – for the 2,500th Anniversary of the city’s foundation – through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney and in collaboration with the Taranta Festival in Bellingen.
