Organised by Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney, this event will bring together members of the Italian-Australian community, educators, musicians and lovers of literature to honour Andrea Camilleri’s profound impact on culture and language, coinciding with the annual Marco Polo Awards Ceremony.

The program features a lecture by Dr Giulia Torello-Hill, Senior Lecturer in Italian at The University of New England, on Dialect, Multilingualism and Orality in the Narrative of Andrea Camilleri.

The Sicilian folk ensemble “Scupriri” will then bring traditions to life with a medley of iconic theme tracks from Il Commissario Montalbano and Il Giovane Montalbano, prominently celebrating Andrea Camilleri’s beloved Sicilian detective.

All are welcome to join us for an inspiring morning of academic and musical pursuits, awards and community celebrations.
